Gingivitis is a bacterial disease that causes inflammation in the mouth and bleeding gums. It can happen either from food debris stuck between your teeth or from poor oral hygiene.
For this, you can make a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. This mixture helps to eliminate the bacteria that cause gingivitis and relieves pain, redness, swelling and bleeding gums.
To prepare the mixture, you’ll need: ¼ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide; ½ cup of water. Add the hydrogen peroxide to the cup of water and mix it. Rinse the mixture for 30 seconds and then spit it out.
This hydrogen peroxide solution can be used for up to 2 to 3 days. It’s not necessary to rinse your mouth with water after using the hydrogen peroxide solution, but if you don’t like the taste that’s left in your mouth, you can do that.
Not only does it help with gingivitis, but it also eliminates bad breath and can be used to relieve bleeding after extractions.
